The Nebraska Department of Agriculture (NDA) is a member of the Food Export Association of the Midwest USA (FEAMU). Together we are able to provide Nebraska’s food and agricultural companies with the services and support needed to export their products internationally. Below is a list of the services available to Nebraska’s companies:

Food Export Helpline: The Food Export helpline offers individuals and companies customized, one-on-one assistance on a variety of export-related topics. This is a no-cost service that can help both beginning and expert exporters.

Branded Program: This program is intended for producers interested in marketing and promoting their own products in the international marketplace. Costs associated with advertising, public relations, package and label modifications, etc., are eligible for up to 50% cost reimbursement.

Market Builder: The Market Builder service provides customized, in-market research to help you determine if a market is right for your product. You can utilize the assistance of an In-Market Representative in one of 18 different markets, who will compare your product to competing products, as well as receive feedback from potential importers on the product’s taste, packaging, price, and more.

Buyer's Missions: Buyer's missions are set up by the Food Export Service by bringing qualified foreign buyers to the United States, usually in conjunction with a trade show. This is an opportunity for buyers to learn more about your products' export potential and build relationships with key industry buyers, without the time and expense of overseas travel. Trade Missions: Food Export also offers focused trade missions to potential sellers. The missions bring a group of U.S. companies to a country to learn firsthand about the market and meet face-to-face with local buyers. It’s an organized trip with services that help navigate a different culture and assist with business meetings. The above link includes a list of upcoming trade missions.

Food Show PLUS!: Food Show PLUS! assists U.S. exhibitors at key international trade shows. This program is designed to offer exhibitor services that focus on maximizing their potential with developing leads and sales from the show. The services offered vary by show, and are selected based on requirements of the market, services offered by show organizers, as well as services offered by the local FAS office.
